Kids Club

Open to ages 12 and younger

This savings club offers a way for little ones to learn about saving while they earn prizes and have fun!

  • $5 minimum balance on savings
  • Lullaby Card offer for new babies. We'll make their first deposit!
  • Free online banking and eStatements
  • Savers Booklets: each time your youngster comes in and makes a deposit of $5 or more they'll receive one stamp in their Kids Club booklet. After they earn 10 or 20 stamps, they can redeem their booklet for a prize.
  • Promotions, coloring contests, backpack giveaways, & more throughout the year!
  • Birthday gifts: each child will receive either a Premiere Theater movie pass or a coupon for $5 deposited into their account. Gift depends on child's age and where they live.
  • Youth Week: a whole week we dedicate just to you, with food, prizes and contests!

Teen Club

Open to ages 13-17

Join this club and get all the tools you need to learn about finances, plus awesome prizes and incentives!

  • $5 minimum balance on savings
  • $0 minimum balance on our free checking accounts!
  • New account gift
  • Free online banking and eStatements
  • Promotions, coloring contests, backpack giveaways, & more throughout the year!
  • Birthday Gifts: each club member will receive either a Premiere Theater movie pass or those that live out of the area will receive a $5 coupon, redeemable at NCU!
  • 18th Birthday offer: when you turn 18 we'll mail you an offer redeemable for $50 cash!
  • Youth Week: a whole week we dedicate just to you, with food, prizes and contests!
  • Great prizes and a gift at our Annual Meeting!
  • We offer Scholarships through MNFIC.
  • NCU members age 13-17 are invited to submit an article on a financial topic to be considered for publication in our quarterly newsletter, website and on Facebook. We will award teens $100 for published articles.
  • Northwoods Credit Union also offers Financial Education classes each quarter to members of our Teen Club. We'll talk about savings and checking accounts, online services, budgeting, tips to purchase your first car AND MORE! We'd love to know what you want to learn about! KIDS CLUB RULES

Kids Club members must be present for deposit in order to earn a stamp.

A deposit of $5 or more must be made in to a Kids Club Savings account in order to receive a stamp.

Children will recieve one bonus stamp when opening a NEW Kids Club savings account.

Maximum of 1 stamp per day for deposits.

Children are no longer eligible for a Northwoods Credit Union Kids Club account after their 13th birthday.

Prize may not be available to take home on the day of deposit. Please allow up to 2 weeks after deposit to receive your prize by mail.

At times, Northwoods Creidt Union may give our young members a monetary gift or gift certificate that can be exchanged for money into their Kids Club account - these types of deposits do not count towards stamps for the Kids Club.

TEEN CLUB RULES

Article submission is open to NCU members age 13-17 in good standing.

Teens who have previously been awarded money for an article that was selected for publishing are eligible to submit a new article for consideration.

Article Requirements:

Must be teens original work not copied from another source, and must be authored solely by the teen.

Must be 250-500 words in length.

Must explore a financial topic suitable for publication in quarterly newsletter, website and our Facebook page.

If applicable, must cite sources used.

Submission Requirements:

A parent or guardian's contact information must be provided. NCU will only contact this adult and won't contact teen directly.

Permission must be provided to NCU to make changes or edits to the article prior to publication.

By submitting an article for consideration, both the parent or guardian and the teen are providing permission for NCU to publish the article in print and electronic publications.

NCU will request a photo of the teen if their article is chosen for publication. If provided, both the parent or guardian and the teen are giving permission to NCU to use the teen's name and photograph in connection to the published article.
