There were numerous craft, food, and business vendors that participated across the northland, making this event possible. With their help, we were able to raise awareness to the public about elder abuse.
Participants also enjoyed the presence of WKLK Radio as they added to the entertainment with their upbeat music and announcements.
Furthermore, the success of this event went above the enjoyment of food and entertainment.
Through collective efforts, Senior Day in Cloquet raised about $700 for Meals on Wheels; a charity that helps to provide nutritious meals to seniors.
Thanks to the power of community collaboration, this event made it possible to support a program that enhances the well-being of older adults, ultimately shedding light on elder needs and struggles in our local communities.
We would like to again thank our awesome vendors who made the trip and either provided valuable senior-focused information or goods and services!
Overall, this memorable event always leaves a lasting impact. This year was just another example of how we can come together to raise awareness and advocate for the elder members of our community.
Northwoods Credit Union is proud to help the senior community in any way we can. Want to get involved? Head over to our event page on Facebook!
